Webmaster’s note: On occasion, as the spirit moves
him, your webmaster likes to share true stories that, hopefully, others may find
inspirational. These are all true
stories.
In order to fully
appreciate the story and pictures below, and their
special significance, I invite you to read, if you
haven't already, the story about
our 1st angel,
Playing on God's Carousel.

As evidenced in that story, angels, the number 5,
roses, and I Corinthians 13:4-13 have very special
meanings to our family.
*****
A couple weeks ago, Target Department Stores called
our house, and wanted to take pictures of our
daughter Jennifer. This seemed unusual to us,
since we had not gone to Target for
pictures in years. What seemed even more unusual was
that they wanted to take the pictures of Jennifer
using an angel theme. (Target
did NOT know the significance of angels to
our family.)
And so, on the exact day of our daughter's 5th
birthday (also at Target's insistence, and they also
were unaware of the number 5 and its meaning to us), the pictures
below were taken.
(I am at a loss for words, so I will let the
pictures and God's word below speak for themselves
in this instance.)

Angels, roses, the number 5, and Hope (part of I Cor
13:4-13), all represented...
Matthew 18:2-5
- He called a little child and had
him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you
the truth, unless you change and become like
little children, you will never enter the
kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles
himself like this child is the greatest in the
kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a
little child like this in my name welcomes me."
I Corinthians 13:4-13 - Love
is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does
not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are
prophecies, they will cease; where there are
tongues, they will be stilled; where there is
knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in
part and we prophesy in part, but when
perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When
I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought
like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I
became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now
we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror;
then we shall see face to face. Now I know in
part; then I shall know fully, even as I am
fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and
love. But the greatest of these is love.
